Why try hot yoga/hot pilates? Most people believe that being fit is all about looking toned and sculpted. They don't know that true fitness is all about being fit to do all the things you love. To be able to do the things you need and want to do, and to still have some energy left over. When you practice hot yoga, the postures we do affect your body on a cellular level. The heat loosens up the muscles and ligaments, and allows for a deeper stretch and a more effective full-body workout. People with old sports injuries often find that stretching in a hot room will allow them to work through old scar tissues, getting them back to full mobility and flexibility.  The compression and release we do in the postures will affect not just your muscles, tendons and ligaments, but also every major system, organ and gland in your body. Many people find that this yoga will affect everything from sleep patterns, energy levels and muscle tone, to more subtle things like food cravings and moods.

What if you think you’re not fit or flexible enough to do this kind of yoga? Don’t worry, you ARE! The benefit comes from the sensations you create in your body, rather than from performing perfect postures. It’s very normal to you feel that you can’t master all the postures on your first class. But if you start this practice with an open mind, and a willingness to try, then gaining strength, flexibility and true fitness is practically guaranteed!

Mats & towels: If you have a yoga mat, bring it along, and also a large towel to put on your mat and another towel for showering. You can also rent these at the studio. RENTAL PRICES: Yoga Mat: £3, Yoga Towel: £3, Mat & Towel Pack: £5, Shower Towel: £2

Parking: You can park in the NCP car park in The Core (entry from Albion Street) with a discount rate for Hot Room students. Ask for a validation ticket at the Hot Room front desk, and the machine will give the following prices upon exit:

2h £3.50 --- 3h £4.50 --- 4h £13

Anything over 4h will be charged at the regular car park rate.
