Your Safe Studio

As we re-open our doors, our number one priority is to keep everyone safe. With enhanced cleaning protocols and social distancing measures, here's how we will achieve it:

A Blog about Studio News from Vicki Anderson

It is SO exciting to be able to open our doors to students again! For so many of us, our practice has kept us sane during these strange and unprecedented times. We want to make sure that coming back to the studio will be a joyful and relaxing experience for everyone, and we believe that being transparent about what we will all do together, to keep you safe, will bring you that peace of mind.

WHAT WE ARE DOING

As well as new safety protocols, we are also implementing an enhanced cleaning protocol before and after each class:

  • Only registered members can take part in our classes. We do not allow drop-ins or outside visitors at this time (Buddy Passes are also suspended right now).
  • All teachers and staff wear face masks around the studio for your and their own protection, apart from when teaching a class in the yoga room.
  • Masks are not mandatory for students, but we think they are a really good idea. You can wear a mask around the studio, and then take it off when you get on your mat in the yoga room. You don't need to wear a mask when you practice
  • Social distancing made easy: Markers are placed all around the studio, to show everyone how to keep their distance.
  • All high contact touch points (door handles, door push plates, taps, toilet flush knobs and benches) are disinfected after each class.
  • Hand sanitizer is provided in the reception and changing room areas.
  • Mats and towels: All towels are washed at high temperatures, to kill all microbes. Mats are thoroughly washed with disinfectant and hot water after each use.
  • Blocks: The use of studio lending blocks is temporarily suspended. Please bring your own blocks for Yin and Vinyasa classes.
  • Floors are washed with disinfectant before each class.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

  • If you are not feeling well or if you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, please stay home. We will be here when it is time for you to safely return.
  • Social distance: Please observe social distancing guidelines at all times inside the studio, and when waiting outside to enter.
  • All members must pre-register for class, no drop-in visits.
  • The studio opens 30 minutes prior to class and closes 30 minutes after. When you arrive at the studio, if the door is not propped open, we are not open just yet. Please wait on one of the social distance markers in the mall for our staff to open the door. This will allow us to provide you with a touchless experience and ensure our staff has plenty of time to sanitize everything before you enter.
  • As you enter the studio please wait in a queue on the marked out spots before approaching the front desk.
  • Feel free to wear a face mask as you enter the studio, when you are on your mat you can remove your face mask before the start of class.
  • Our staff will be wearing masks at the front desk, but not during class in the yoga room.
  • As you give your name for sign-in, please take some hand sanitizer from the bottle on the front desk.
  • We have temporarily suspended our lending bottle service. Please bring your own water bottle. You can fill it up at our touch-free bottle filling station.
  • If you CAN shower and change at home, please do so. Changing rooms and shower are open, but there are a limited number of spaces. Please keep your distance within the changing room and shower areas. Stick to the marked out spots.
  • After class, please put used rental towels in the bins provided, and hang your own mat up in the wash-down area, to minimise handling of these items by our staff.
  • Our tea offering is temporarily suspended. Please stick to the marked out spots when sitting on the benches in the chill out area.
  • When using the toilets, please wash your hands thoroughly and use the disposable hand towels provided.
  • Mat spaces have been clearly marked out with tape on the floor, just put the top/front edges of your mat in line with the marked our corners.
  • Please stay on your mat in the yoga room at all times during the class.

We really appreciate your help with keeping everyone safe and comfortable during these first classes back in the studio. We can’t wait to see you back in the hot room!
